About

Greg McGahey brings over 25 years of expertise in commercial real estate development. He founded and serves as Principal of The AEM Group, a consulting firm where, among other roles, he fulfilled the position of Regional Director of Real Estate Development for Costco Wholesale across a four-state region. Greg has also held positions as Senior Vice President at UCR Development and Director at Guggenheim Real Estate Retail Partners.

Throughout his career, Greg has been a key stakeholder in the development of more than 4.5 million square feet of completed projects spanning over 20 states. His extensive experience covers various disciplines, including site selection, design, due diligence, and entitlements. Greg has been instrumental in shaping retail, automotive, and healthcare multi-unit development programs. Notable projects include his leadership in development initiatives for major clients such as Costco Wholesale, Firestone Complete Auto Care, Adeptus Health (First Choice Emergency Rooms), The Offices at Chapel Creek, Cinemark Theatres, and Trademark Property Company.

Serving as Regional Director for Costco Wholesale, Greg played a pivotal role in the successful completion of 25 locations across Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and Tennessee.

Greg began his career as an Architectural Project Manager at Casco Corporation, where he led a team of architects and engineers in developing large-scale projects for clients including Home Depot, PetSmart, Toys R Us, Regal Cinema, and Extended Stay America Hotels.

A member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), Greg has also served as a Planning and Zoning Commissioner in his community. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Texas at Arlington, underscoring his commitment to the built environment and its thoughtful development.
